East West Manufacturing was founded in 2001 by Scott Ellyson and Jeff Sweeney with a simple goal: help companies become more competitive by manufacturing their products in lower cost locations to the highest established quality standards.
With operations in the North America, Asia and Central America, we provide our customers access to a vertically integrated global supply chain. Our co-founders’ understanding of engineering and manufacturing, combined with a top-notch engineering support team in the U.S. and abroad, gives customers confidence that their production partner has the technical savvy and international business experience necessary for their project to succeed.

Leadership Matters
Scott and Jeff were colleagues before they became business partners. Their skills and personalities complement each other in the work they do for East West.
Scott serves as East West’s CEO, focusing his attention on company operations and systems. His familiarity with Asia and production facilities there, and his background in supply chain logistics, strategy and operations gives him a unique advantage in understanding this complex side of the business. Before starting East West, Scott was the VP of Offshore Manufacturing and Logistics for DiversiTech Corporation.
Prior to that, he co-founded ITS Ltd., an EMS manufacturer in Asia that produces automobile components and electronic assemblies. He started his career as a manufacturing and industrial engineer producing medical instruments for Boston Scientific. Scott also worked for several years as a management consultant for PWC, focusing on logistics, strategy and operations. He graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering.
As Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for East West, Jeff is business development- and customer-focused. From identifying companies looking for manufacturing and engineering services and evaluating projects, to overseeing customer service and logistics functions, Jeff combines a personal approach and problem-solving skills that provide outstanding service to each client. Prior to co-founding East West, Jeff was VP of Research and Engineering at DiversiTech Corporation, a leading manufacturer and distributor of HVAC components and supplies. While at DiversiTech, Jeff invented and developed several product lines essential to their growth; he holds eight U.S. patents. He is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Engineering Science and Mechanics.
