Community

East West has deep roots in the Atlanta community and we believe it is important to participate in community and charity events.

Wish For Wendy 2010

November 6th was a chilly day at the ballpark but our courageous Crouching Tigers, Biting Monkeys put up an admirable effort. And although we did not advance to the second round of competition everyone had a great time raising money for a wonderful cause.

East West looks forward (maybe with a little more practice next time) to participating in A Wish for Wendy 2011.

Thank you Big Green Egg!

A huge THANK YOU goes out to our friends at Big Green Egg for donating the Egg smoker to our W4W fundraiser this year. We were able to raise over $2,200 with this fundraiser not only making it a record fundraising year for East West but also helping A Wish for Wendy reach their goal: bringing their fundraising grand total (since 2000) to over $1 million.

Thanks again to all who bought tickets and

Congratulations to

Richard and Sherry Miller

who won the Big Green Egg Prize

East West is proud to be a premiere sponsor of A Wish for Wendy softball tournament benefitting Cystic Fibrosis.

Gardening Project at the Bosnian Community Center 2009

Gardening Project

In July 2009 East West Manufacturing spent the day lending a hand to our local community. Our entire company spent the day building and planting a garden at the Bosnian Community Center. The center, located in Snellville, Georgia, is a gathering place for Bosnian refugees that have been relocated due to the turmoil in their home country. This collaborative event was organized by both Refugee Family Services and the Community Gardening Program, a project of the Atlanta Community Food Bank. The garden will provide fresh herbs and vegetables to members of the community center and will be used to teach children about gardening and working together as a community.

We all had a great time and enjoyed lending a hand to such wonderful people. We hope the garden will be fruitful for many years to come.
