Generally speaking, good candidates for offshore manufacturing are companies that have a product in the mature stages of its product life cycle, can estimate approximate annual usage, and have volumes high enough to order in container load quantities. How can I be sure my product is made to necessary specifications? Your products will be manufactured exactly to your specifications, because before we build them we understand the particular requirements and the entire manufacturing process. We set up production, initialize drawings and documents, install and implement strict quality programs and manage all details of production. You can be confident that your products are produced to your standards because they are under our watchful eyes in our own factories. What does EW do to ensure the quality of my product is not compromised? Quality is our most important focus. We pride ourselves in our commitment towards total quality management, and when producing your product we control every aspect using our proven quality systems. Our engineers write strict quality procedures catered to each individual product which is then enforced by our domestic and offshore quality control teams ensuring you will receive all the benefits of going offshore without compromising quality. Will my intellectual property be safe? We understand that this is a very real concern for companies exploring the idea of production in China. A major advantage of working with East West is that we have part or total ownership in many of the factories producing your products. In the cases where we deal with a non-EW owned factory we maintain significant leverage by making up the lion's share of that factories production. We have years of experience qualifying factories and keeping our customer’s intellectual property safe. Any confidentiality agreements signed by East West automatically transfer to our China and Vietnam facilities and we only work with factories which demonstrate their willingness to honor and protect our customer’s intellectual property. Who handles freight and duty issues? East-West is your end-to-end logistics solution. We handle all freight and duty issues from bill of lading preparation to prepayment of duty and finally delivery to your door. Our logistics team manages your shipment every step of the way so you don’t have to. Can I manage my own logistics? We do leave the option open for our customers to manage their own freight, but we find that the vast majority of our customers prefer to use East West for their logistics needs. We are able to leverage the high volume of containers we ship every year to bring you lower transportation costs. Does East West offer additional supply chain solutions? East West offers warehousing and distribution services for those customers who need product on demand and our Demand Planning services help you plan your orders throughout the year so you are never out of product when you need it. Additionally we offer offshore warehousing of finished goods as well as long lead-time components which can further reduce lead-time by 50%. How can I track my order’s progress? Our U.S. based customer service team keeps you informed of your order’s status every step of the way. You can also check on your order at any time via our online Customer Portal, which gives you up to date tracking on your shipment as it moves through the production and shipping cycle.
